Win tickets to the ATP finals

The challenge set for Chris Haslam was to taste the meals of six airlines, then decide which was best.
He chose British Airways, followed - in order - by Singapore, Emirates, Virgin, Cathay and Thomsonfly and his report was featured in The Sunday Times last week.
End of story, you'd think.
Not quite. Predicatably, hoardes of you wrote in to express incredulity about BA, be outraged on behalf of Singapore and to promote the wares of Air New Zealand. And a few others.
But what was equally entertaining was the wealth of anecdotal stories, comments and your memories of food when flying was fun.
(And I was also prompted to mention the excellent website, airlinemeals.net, which has been collating photos of inflight meals for years).
I've pulled out a selection of your comments from Chris's feature here. I've even put them in order of my favourites.
And I'd like to invite you to add your own story below on the comments below.
Bon appetit.
15 FOODIE TALES FROM ON HIGH
1. The best breakfast I've had was with Virgin from San Fran, a hot bacon roll. Afternoon tea with TWA to St Louis complete with warm scones, strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream, and a korma with Air India to JFK. BA is now very ordinary, so I prefer long haul flights with Asian carriers - SS, Wicklow, Ireland
2. I think the best meal I ever had was recently on El-Al, LHR to TLV in economy. The stew-type thing actually made me make noises of pleasure whilst eating it! Other than that, I'm quite fond of the mustard potatoes with ham that Icelandair serves, but it's no to everyone's taste (more for me!) - John, London
